September Recap

It’s been a month since my last post. There’s probably no need for a recap because nothing really happened. I had the interview with the German reporter, but it didn’t go very well since it’s been a while since my last interview and I’m out of practice. I haven’t heard anything in the past two weeks, but I assume it’ll come out this month. I got my 12th and 13th reviews on Amazon. Nothing gushing but not too shabby, either. Sales were predictably meager but not as bad as I had expected.

Yesterday was actually the first day all month I checked in on the blogosphere. September was yet another busy month for me on the non-writing front, and I hate being busy. But the good news is that the editing project I’ve been working on for the past nine months is practically over, and the translation work I’ve been doing has also wrapped up. I went to two weddings, entertained two guests from overseas, and went on two dates that weren’t bad but there wasn’t enough chemistry to warrant second dates. Last Friday was the first day I could actually sit down and work on my own stuff. Unfortunately, last Friday was also the first day of the Chuseok holiday, and I was either drunk or asleep for most of it.

But September has ended and it’s time to wake up. My order of books from China is scheduled to be delivered on Monday, and I’ll have to play the salesman and try to get them shelved at more bookstores. I’m also working on setting up a book reading at the humblest of venues probably for November. I’ll share more details once things are settled.
